The mission of Before & After is to assist inmates in re entering their home, family, and community as a viable, contributing, successful member of society through counseling, training and education.
J C Bernard, Our Founder
After having some minor legal altercations, JC found himself incarcerated. He served his time and resolved his issues only to be released back into a society that would not give him the chance to show that he had learned new things, and had a new understanding for life and the ways of the world.
He worked and tried and worked and tried some more. Pleading for a chance and longing to thrive, he, eventually, began to get ahead. As he started to prosper, he began to think of all the other people who were in the same situation he had once been in. Knowing the struggles he encountered, he wanted to help.
Where We Are Now
JC started the Before & After Rehabilitation Program to do more than just help people to “get out of jail”. He wanted to provide them with the tools they would need to succeed upon their release, not just “get by”. He wanted them to mend their broken families, learn trades, get educated and THRIVE!
Today, he is going to great strides to provide proper counseling, education, and other tools to anyone that needs a hand up and a new outlook and perspective on life. Families are being reunited, relationships are being mended and people are being healed with the help and understanding of JC and the Before & After Community Rehabilitation Program.
